Description

This lasagna is simple to make with basic ingredients and the flavors marry together perfectly.


Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna pasta sheets (cook according to package )
  • 1 24 oz jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • salt (to taste )
  • pepper (to taste )
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese (or 15 oz container )
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley


Instructions

  1. Cook lasagna according to package; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, ricotta cheese, mozzarella cheese, parmesan cheese, egg, and dried parsley; mix well and set aside.
  3. In a medium pan over medium to high heat, place ground beef, season with salt and pepper to taste, cook until no longer pink drain the fat, if any.
  4. In a medium pot over medium to high heat, place spaghetti sauce and cooked ground beef; heat through.
  5. Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.
  6. In a 9×13 baking pan, start assembling the lasagna.
  7. Pour 1 cup of spaghetti sauce on the bottom of the pan, then layer 3 sheets of lasagna pasta, pour ½ cup spaghetti sauce on top, then add ½ of the cheese mixture, and then another 3 sheets of lasagna pasta; repeat till all of it is done.
  8. Place prepared lasagna into the oven and bake for 25-30 minutes, until cheese is all melted and slightly browned on top.
