Description

These Apple Butter Cookies are chewy, soft, with a crisp on the edges. Also, they remind me of an apple pie in the form of a cookie.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup butter, soften (or 1 stick )
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup apple butter

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees, line your cookie sheets with parchment paper, and set them aside.
  2. In a small bowl, add flour, baking soda, salt, baking powder, and ground cinnamon; mix and set aside.
  3. In a medium bowl, add softened butter, brown sugar, and sugar; mix well.
  4. To the butter mixture add apple butter; mix well.
  5. Slowly add flour mixture to butter mixture; mix well. It might seem there is too much flour but keep mixing.
  6. Scoop cookie dough with a cookie scoop or two spoons onto the prepared cookie sheets. Place them about 2 in apart.
  7. Bake for 12-15 minutes, until they are golden brown around the edges.
