There are times you just want a basic chicken recipe but that tastes amazing. I have you covered here with my Basic Slow Cooker Whole Chicken. It's juicy, full of flavor, and requires no effort.

- 1 5-7 lb whole chicken
- 2 cups water
- 2 dried bay leafs
- 2 teaspoons kosher salt (or regular salt )
- 2 teaspoons black pepper
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons paprika
Instructions
- Rinse chicken under running water, remove any of the gilets if needed.
- Place chicken into the slow cooker.
- Add water, bay leaf, kosher salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Cook on low for 6-8 hours, or high for 3-5 hours.
Notes
- Leftovers can be placed in an airtight container. Keep in the refrigerator for up to a week.
- This chicken can be made ahead of time and used throughout the week.
