Ingredients
2 tablespoons oil (any neutral oil will work)
1 pound ground beef
1 medium onion, diced
2–3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup water
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon
2 teaspoons garlic powder
2 teaspoons paprika
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1 bay leaf
1 pound russet potatoes, peeled and diced
Instructions
- In a 10-inch pan over medium heat, add oil, and once the pan is hot, add ground beef, onion, and garlic.
- Brown the ground beef for 5-10 minutes until it’s fully cooked. You will know it’s fully cooked when the ground beef has turned color.
- Once the ground beef is browned and fully cooked, add water, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, paprika, salt, ground cumin, and potatoes; mix well. Â
- Bring to a boil, then down to a simmer and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the potatoes are fully cooked. You will know when the potatoes are done when you poke them with a fork and they are soft.Â
