This Easy Creamy Pasta with Chorizo Recipe has a creamy sauce with a subtle kick of spiciness from the chorizo. The creamy chorizo sauce gives the pasta a vibrant orange hue.
Ingredients
2 tablespoon oil
10 oz Longaniza or any chorizo of your choice
2 1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
1 pound pasta
1–2 bay leaf
2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
1. Add 8 cups of water, salt, and bay leaf to a 4-quart pot. Bring water to a boil, then add pasta and bring to a simmer. Cook for 8-10 minutes until pasta is al dente.
2. Add oil over medium-high heat While pasta is cooking in another 4-quart pot. Then, add chorizo and break it apart by hand with a cooking spoon; continue breaking the chorizo apart and cooking until browned.
3. Add milk, heavy cream, garlic powder, and paprika, mix well,Â
4. Mix all-purpose flour and water in a small bowl, mix well, and add to the sauce for 5 minutes.Â
5. Once the pasta is done, drain and add to the sauce; mix well and serve.Â
