1 lb spaghetti pasta
1–2 bay leaf
1 teaspoon salt
2 tablespoon avocado oil; or any neutral oil
14 oz kielbasa sausage, sliced
1 medium onion, diced
2–3 galic cloves, minced
2 teaspoon oregano
2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
28 oz can crushed tomatoes
1 cup chicken broth
Instructions
- Fill a 4-quart pot with water, add a bay leaf and salt, and bring to a boil over high heat. Then add spaghetti pasta, and bring the pot down to a simmer. Cook for 10-12 minutes until al dente.
- Once the spaghetti is done, drain and set aside.Â
- Add oil and kielbasa to another 4-quart pot over medium to high heat. Cook until heated through, 4-5 minutes, then set aside.
- In the same pot, add diced onion and minced garlic; sauté for 2-3 minutes until translucent.
- Then add oregano, Italian seasoning, and paprika—heat through for 1 minute.
- Add crushed tomatoes, chicken broth, and kielbasa sausage. Bring to a boil and simmer for 10 minutes.Â
- Add cooked spaghetti to the sauce and mix well.Â
