Description

These chicken drum sticks require a little oil, simple spices that leave a nice crispy coat without breading.


Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon dried parsley (or 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley)
  • 2 lbs chicken drum sticks
  • 23 tablespoons oil (of your choice)


Instructions

  1. Pre-heat to 425 degrees, prepare a sheet pan with parchment paper, and set it aside.
  2. In a small bowl, add black pepper, garlic powder, salt, paprika, and dried parsley.
  3. Brush the chicken drum sticks with oil, then coat them with the spice mix. This gives them a bit of a crisp coating without breading them.
  4. Place the coated chicken onto your prepared sheet pan and into the oven.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes, then turn over and bake for another 20 minutes until your thermometer reaches 165 degrees.
