Different types of nut, seeds and dried fruit.

How is everyone holding up with this virus? Everyday there is something new. More positive cases, more deaths and more new symptoms to keep an eye for. I would like to make light of the situation and share with you How to make Healthy Trail Mix.

The day I first knew about the virus I was not sure how serious it is or was going to be and to be honest it’s a bit scary. I work full time in the medical field and our numbers of seeing patients has gone down. Which is understandable most of our patients are elderly. At work we were asked if we wanted to volunteer to go on furlough, I volunteered which I think is the best choice for my family.

We can’t live in fear, we need to start making better choices. Making our health a priority is key.

Let’s change this topic and talk about a healthy snack. It’s always good to have a healthy snack on hand.

Different types of nuts, seeds and dry fruit.

Trail mix was my go to snack in college, that with a Naked juice. I use to buy both of them all the time for lunch. I would always chose the healthier option. If the choice was between a hamburger or chicken sandwich I would choose the chicken sandwich.

For this Healthy Trail Mix you could use any kind of nuts, seeds and dry fruit of your choice.

What is trial mix?

It is a mixture of nuts, seeds and dried fruit.

What makes trail mix unhealthy?

Is the use of salted or sweet nuts and seeds. Nuts and seeds already have lots of fat and by adding extra salt and sugar defeats the purpose.
