One day I was given six cans of can chicken. I never bought can meats because I never knew how to incorporate them into our meals. I felt bad about throwing them away, and I had no one to give them to that would use them, so I kept them.
After having them moved around the kitchen for a while, it dawned on me, “Hey, I could use those cans of chicken like tuna and make a cold pasta salad.” So I finally opened the can to see what it looked like, like a can of tuna. And this is what I put together…..

Ingredients
- Macaroni Pasta– You can use any small pasta that you like.
- Can chicken breast
- Mayo
- Celery– Diced
- Carrots– Shredded
- Salts
- Black pepper
- Garlic powder
Instructions
- Cook pasta according to package.
- Open can of chicken breast, drain and shred it with a fork.
- Once pasta is cooked remove from water and run it under cool water to stop it from cooking.
- In a bowl mix the cooked pasta, diced celery, shredded carrots, mayo, salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Serve as a side or as a lunch type salad.
