Description
This Simple Breaded Chicken Breast is easy to make, takes less than 10 minutes to cook. The mix of bread crumbs and cornmeal gives it a crispy coating. The mix of everyday spices gives it a basic but delicious flavor.

- 1/2 cup plain bread crumbs
- 1/4 cup cornmeal
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 tablespoon dried parsley (or 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped )
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2–3 eggs
- 1 lb thinly sliced chicken breast
- 1 cup oil (or enough to fill 1/2 inch of the pan)
Instructions
- On a shallow plate, place bread crumbs, cornmeal, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, paprika, dried parsley, or fresh parsley; mix well and set aside.
- In a separate shallow plate, place flour and set it aside.
- In a separate shallow plate, place eggs, mix, and set them aside.
- A line the three plates, first flour, eggs, and then bread crumb mixture
- Begin by placing one slice of chicken into the flour covering completely, then into the egg mixture covering completely, and then into the bread crumb mixture covering completely; set aside.Â
- Repeat step 5 until all chicken is breaded.
- In a medium pan over high heat, heat oil until it's hot or reaches 350 degrees.
- Once the oil is hot, place the breaded chicken into the pan and cook for about 1-2 mins on each side, or when it begins to brown, it's done.
