Description

This is the Best Banana Bread Recipe you will need. It’s moist, not overly sweet, requires few ingredients that you already have in your pantry. With this recipe, you can make them into muffins or bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups mashed banana (or 5-6 medium very ripe bananas )
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted (and cooled)
  • 2 eggs (room temperature )
  • 3/4 cup chopped walnuts (optional )


Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees, grease, or line a 9 x 5 bread pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  2. Place flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and sugar in a small bowl; mix well and set aside.
  3. Place mashed banana, butter, and eggs in a medium bowl; mix well.
  4. Add flour mixture to the banana mixture; mix until well incorporated, then fold in walnuts (optional). The batter will be lumpy.
  5. Pour batter into the prepared bread pan.
  6. Bake bread for 50-55 minutes, until the toothpick comes out clean.

Notes

  • Melt your butter first and set it aside so the butter can cooled down by the time you need to add it to your banana mixture.
  • Also, if you have your eggs in the refrigerator, take them out before you start. Set them on the counter, this way they’re not too cold for when it’s time to add them to the banana mixture.
