These Apple Butter Cookies are chewy, soft, with a crisp on the edges. Also, they remind me of an apple pie in the form of a cookie.
My husband is the one that buys packaged and frozen foods from time to time. The other day he bought two packages of Chip Ahoy, thinking he would enjoy a delicious treat because we don’t buy them. And boy was he in for a rude awaking.
He told me, “babe, I can’t eat those cookies anymore; they don’t taste the same as I remember. I can only eat the ones that you make.” To be honest, that was like music to my ears.
