Let’s start making Carne Asada

Ingredients

  • Flap meat– This cut of meat makes it perfect for grilling. If you go to a Mexican grocery store the name of this cut of meat is Ranchera.
  • Lemon juice– After juicing the lemon save the peel, you will be adding it to meat when marinating.
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • Cilantro

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, place flap meat, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and cilantro; mix well.
  2. Cut lemon peels in four and add those to the bowl.
  3. Let marinate for 10-15 mintues.
  4. In a hot large skillet, add a little oil, and place marinated meat onto the hot skillet.
  5. Cook for 5 minutes, flip and cook for another 5 minutes; only flip once.
  6. You want it to be fully cooked.

  • 1/4 cup lemon juice (or the juice of 2 lemons, save the lemon peels.)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 45 sprigs of cilantro
