Description

These Double Chocolate Cookies are the kind you would make for your kids when they come home from school. They are chocolatey, soft, moist, and delicious. They make a great afternoon snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter (soften )
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup chocolate chips


Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. Line cookie sheet or sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl mix flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt; set aside.
  3. In another medium bowl place softened butter and brown sugar; mix well.
  4. In butter mixture add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  5. Fold in flour mixture into butter mixture; keep folding in flour until it's all incorporated.
  6. Add chocolate chips and mix well.
  7. With a cookie scoop or 2 spoons; scoop out cookies on to cookie sheet.
  8. Place cookie sheet into the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes.

Notes

  • Makes about 24 cookies.
  • Instead of chocolate chip cookies, you can use white chocolate chips or peanut butter chips.
