Chips and dip are a staple at our parties ever since I could remember. Our dips usually consist of a powder dip mix and a tub of sour cream. When I have started to make more of my own food and use less pre-packaged food, this is one food was one I wanted to start making myself. Here is the recipe I came up with.
Making your own dips or dressings is much healthier than buying from the bottle or using powder mixes. Because you can control the ingredients that you put in your food. This dip also makes eating veggies much more enjoyable especially with little ones and a picky husband.
Let’s start making Easy Ranch Dip
Here we have sour cream, mayo, garlic powder, salt, onion powder, dried chives, and dried dill.
For the base, we are going to use 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/2 cup mayo.
Give the sour cream and mayo a good mix.
Then we add garlic powder, salt, onion powder, dried chives, and dried dill. Give is a good mix and enjoy.
Tips
- Turn it into a dressing, just add some buttermilk or milk until you get your desired consistency.
- Place leftovers in an airtight container and kept for up to a week.
- Make it ahead of time, and place in an airtight container for up to a week.
