Ingredients to make Homemade Oatmeal Cereal

Sugary cereals are on top of my list to remove from my pantry. What is great about cereal is that it’s convenient, especially when you can’t be there to make a full course meal. Everyone can fend for themselves.

The only thing is trying to find the healthiest cereal box with it, making a hole in your pocket. And the only is to start making your own. I share this recipe here is just a basic recipe; you can add, subtract, and substitute any ingredient.

How to use oatmeal cereal?

  • Use it just like any other cereal with your favortie milk.
  • You can use it as a granola and top your favorite yogurt.
  • Also is great eating it alone by the handfuls as if it were peanuts.

What else can you add to it?

This recipe here is a very basic cereal, but you can whatever you like or substitute as well. Here are some ideas…..

  • Nuts
  • Seeds
  • Chocolate chips– After is has baked and cooled you can mix in the chocolate chips, like that they do not melt.
  • Shredded coconut
  • Dried fruit– You can use any dried fruit and long as it chopped up in to small pieces.

If you have a nut allergy, you can use sunflower seed butter or if you want to make your own, here is an alternative No-Nut Butter.
