Hot Chocolate Mix

Yay!! It’s September, now it’s time for cooler weather which means it’s Hot Chocolate time.

I’m not a hot chocolate type of person, I love my coffee what can I say. My kid’s are definitely hot chocolate people. I use to buy the big tub of Nestle Quick powder but I have not bought it in year’s. Since the last time I bought it till about a year ago my kids just went without hot chocolate. I know I know what kind of mother am I denying her kid’s hot chocolate.

Then I started making this mix for them, ok ok I’m lying. Actually, what I started doing was I would measure a cup of milk per kid to a big pot then add coco powder and sugar to taste, then heat to temp, there you go hot chocolate it is.

But after I got to thinking, sometimes I’m not home because I work so I had to figure out how can they make there own hot chocolate without using the stove?

I came up with this ratio of non-fat dry powder milk (I feel it make’s it creamy), coco powder and sugar. Just add to a cup a milk heat in the microwave for about 45 sec to a min and there you have hot chocolate.

This is definitely something that my older kids can do for the younger one’s for time’s I’m not home or for there dad to make for them too.
