Description

This On-Pot Homemade Hamburger Helper is a life changer, so quick and easy to make, full of flavor. The pasta is cooked to perfection, and the ground beef does not disappoint in flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoon tomato paste
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream (or heavy whipping cream or half and half)
  • 1 1/2 cup elbow pasta (Or any small pasta shape you prefer.)
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese


Instructions

  1. In a 3 quart pot over medium to high heat, place a little oil (to cook the ground beef) and ground beef, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and paprika. Cook for about 5 minutes until beef is no longer pink.
  2. Once the ground beef has cooked add tomato paste; mix well.
  3. Then add beef broth and heavy cream, bring to a boil, add pasta; cover the pot and turn down to low, cook for 15-20 minutes until pasta is fully cooked and has absorbed all the liquid.
  4. Once the pasta is done, turn off the stove, then add the cheese mix well until all cheese has melted.
