Ingredients

  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 2 1/2 teaspoon chipotle powder
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 2 eggs

Sauce

  • 1 20 oz bottles barbecue sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar


Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, place bread crumbs, salt, garlic powder, and chipotle powder; mix and set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, place ground beef and massage it for 2-3 minutes. This helps the meatballs soften and not be too tough.In a medium bowl, place ground beef and add the breadcrumb mixture; mix well.
  3. Then add the breadcrumb mixture to the ground beef; mix well.
  4. With the scoop, scoop out the meatballs and place them onto a plate; set aside.
  5. Place barbecue sauce and brown sugar in a 3-4 quart pot over medium to high heat; mix well.
  6. Place meatballs in the pot, bring to a boil, then down to a simmer; cover with lid for 30-40 minutes until the temperature inside the meatballs reaches 165 degrees.
