This salad has been on repeat for the past few weeks, especially with this hot weather; it’s quite refreshing. The kids really get excited when they see me making it. Like what kid gets excited about a salad? Well, if you make it taste great, they will come back for more.
This salad is ridiculously easy, and I use familiar ingredients that most people like. Which makes it easy for non salad lovers to enjoy as well.
What is the best way to wash and prepare lettuce?
Chop your lettuce and place it into a big bowl. Fill the bowl with water to where the lettuce is submerged. Leave the lettuce submerged in the water for about 5-10 minutes to remove dirt and debris. Once that is done using a salad spinner to dry the lettuce. The salad spinner is not quite necessary, but it does speed up the process.
