Tuna melts are kind of a no-brainer, just pre-pare you tuna salad place in between two slices of bread, and toast on a skillet. But everyone makes their’s different.

Can you believe I have never made these for the kids before this? Don’t know what took me so long to make these because they are super easy to put together.

The other day when I made the tuna melts, the kids were so surprised how good they were. And told me “mom you have to make these again, it is SO good”.

Ingredients to make Easy Tuna Melts

I make my melts just the same as I make my grilled cheese sandwiches. With most tuna melts they add cheese to it, but I don’t I keep it simple. The key ingredient for great tuna melts is sourdough bread. In order for your sandwich to keep its shape you need to use a sturdy bread.
