After trying this Easy Sloppy Joe Recipe, you will never go back to the canned sauce. You have the hint of sweetness from the brown sugar, the thickness from the tomato paste, and all the flavor from the spices. It’s made in less than 30 minutes which I think it’s a win-win for everyone, mom, dad, and kids.
I forgot where I read that “if it comes in a box or can you can make it from scratch.” After I read that, I thought of all the stuff I used to buy that came in a box or can. Many of those things I make from scratch now, for example, pancakes, waffles, biscuits, flour tortillas, macaroni and cheese, mashed potatoes, and hamburger helper. These are just a few that I can think of at the moment.
Many years ago, I made sloppy joes for the kids once, and it was with the can of Manwich, the classic sauce that comes in a can. All you need is the ground beef, and then you add the sauce. The kids like it because they have never tried before. At the time, I didn’t know how easy it was to make it sloppy joes from scratch. I am so excited that I have come up with this recipe, and I’m here to share it with you.
What do I serve these sloppy joes with?
