- Whole peppercorns– You can use ground black pepper if you don’t have whole peppercorns. You would need about two teaspoons.
- Kosher Salt– You can use regular table salt if you don’t have kosher salt. You would need about two teaspoons.
Instructions
- In a 5-quart pot, place chicken breast, broth, onion, garlic cloves, whole peppercorns, and kosher salt.
- Place on the stovetop over high heat, boil, and then simmer for 40 minutes until the chicken breast shreds easily.
- Place cooked chicken in a bowl. Once it’s cooled enough to touch, shred the chicken by hand or use a mixer.
